The Cochin College Library in association with the Kerala Library Association (KLA Ernakulam Region) and the Kerala College Librarian’s Associoation (KCLA) is organizing a Two – Day UGC Sponsored National Workshop on Research Reporting and Managing Citing Reference Resources with Zotero.

Venue and date:

Venue   : The Cochin College, Kochi.

Date      : 16-17 October 2015 (Friday and Saturday)

Target Participants:

The workshop can be attended by Librarians, Teachers, Research Scholars, and Students from Universities, Colleges, Schools, and other Institutions.

Sessions on:

Research reporting, Plagiarism, Mendeley, Zotero

Registration:

• Registration is limited to 50 participants on first come first serve basis Last date for Registration is-10th October 15
• Registration fee: 300/- for all participants. (Fees include workshop kit, working lunch, tea, and Certificates.)
• Registration fee should be paid by Demand Draft in favour of The Principal, The Cochin College, Kochi-02 – Payable at SBT, Kochi branch.
• Duty leave can be availed as per norms.

Workshop on Managing Literature for Scholarly Writing at St. Berchmans College, Changanacherry on 23 September 2014.

Workshop on Managing Literature for Scholarly Writing at School of Tourism Studies, Mahatma Gandhi University on 30 September 2014.

KLA Kottayam Region organised two workshops successively and successfully on Management of Literature in Scholarly Writing on 23rd and 30th of August 2014. St. Berchmans College, Changanacherry, School of Tourism Studies, Mahatma Gandhi University and St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor are the co-organizers of the workshop. The workshop mainly focussed on hands on training in bibliographic reference management using Zotero software.

Rev. Fr. Jose Viruppel inaugurated the workshop at St. Berchmans College. Dr. Robinet Jacob, Director, School of Tourism Studies inaugurated the workshop at Mahatma Gandhi University. Total 50 participants including library professionals, research scholars and students from various institutions attended the workshop. Savithty T.K., Library Assistant, Vimal Kumar V., Technical Assistant, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and Jasimudeen S., Librarian, St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor were served as resource persons for the workshop.
