Nikesh serves as Assistant Professor and Information Technology Librarian at Zayed University. He is a library systems expert with specialization in Web-scale Discovery solutions, ILS implementations, remote access, repositories, and Institutional ORCID API implementations. He secured MTech in Information Systems and Management with a gold medal from the University of Mysore.
Besides, he has master’s degrees in Library and Information Science and in Business studies. Before joining Zayed University UAE, Nikesh served as Systems Librarian at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi and took a lead role in unifying the ILS, discovery, remote access and repository systems of the Masdar Institute, the Petroleum Institute and the KUSTAR, implementing the massive systems migration projects for the newly merged entities of the Khalifa University. Nikesh has extensive experience leading the technical operations at EBSCO serving as EBSCO Discovery Engineer, and he has implemented over 100 EBSCO Discovery profiles across India and South Asia to deliver seamless and integrated discovery user experiences in libraries.
