About the workshop
Hands on training will be based WordPress blogging platform. WordPress is considered as an easy to use publishing platform for academic community. With WordPress, we can create any type of website: a personal blog or website, a photo blog, a professional portfolio, academic website, library portal, a magazine or news website, an online community, even a network of websites. Teachers, students, research scholars and library professionals can publish their content with ease and effectively to keep in touch with their peers. WordPress offers most of the features suitable for scholarly communication for academic community.
In this workshop, participants will develop a custom website and blog with static and dynamic pages from scratch. Experienced resource persons will introduce various features and plugins available with WordPress to make your website fully functional.

Learn basic HTML and CSS
Develop a custom website from scratch
Learn how to customize WordPress
Understand how to utilise the WordPress plug-in library

Registration: Registration fee is Rs. 800 for outside participants (including working lunch, tea and snacks). Seat allotment will be based on first come first served basis.
