In the past, the communications choices were fairly simple. There were journal articles and books to reach other academics. With the advent of cutting edge Internet services, academic communication is changing around the world. Lot of user friendly tools are available now to broadcast your academic content and build network with other peers in your domain.
Plagiarism is a serious problem in academic communication landscape. A charge of plagiarism can have severe consequences, including expulsion from a university or loss of a job, not to mention a writer’s loss of credibility and professional standing. Academic communication skills are very important for library professionals and students to get job, achieve professional goals, career improvement and gain academic status. Awareness about plagiarism is also very essential to avoid accidental plagiarism and establish your identity in your profession.
