In order to encourage the students who undergo B.L.I.Sc, M.L.I.Sc Courses, KLA has instituted the ‘KLA Gold Medal Award’ for the students who secure I, Rank in these courses of the Universities in Kerala. Prof. C. A. Augustine Holy Cross Endowment Award instituted by Prof. C. A. Augustine Holy Cross Endowment for Information Science which consists of a Cash Award and Memento is presented to those students who scored top marks in the Paper “Information and Communication”, of the MLISc Examination of the University of Kerala.
Mr. C.P.Nair, Former Chief Secretary, Govt. of Kerala presented the KLA Gold Medals and Prof C. A. Augustine-Holy Cross Endowment Awards for the years 2009-20011 and 2010-2012 at a function held on 29 April 2012 at 3.00pm at the DLIS Lecture Hall, University of Kerala. Dr A Gopikuttan, President, KLA preside over where Mr E. Hashim, Treasurer, KLA delivered the welcome address.
Dr K. P. Vijayakumar, HOD, DLIS, University of Kerala, Smt. P. Suprabha, State Librarian, State Central Library and Smt. L. Saraswathy, Deputy Librarian (I/C), University Library, University of Kerala felicitated the award winners. Shri. S.L.Faisal, General Secretary, KLA proposed vote of thanks.
