Seminar on “Technology Management in Modern Libraries” by KLA Thrissur Region

Modern library technologies should be targeted to provide better services to the library clientele, Horticulture College Associate Dean, Dr. C.T. Abraham opined while inaugurating the Seminar on Technology Management in Modern Libraries” jointly organised by the Kerala Library Association (KLA) and College of Horticulture, Kerala Agricultural University on on 20 October 2012.

KLA Thrissur Region President Dr. A.T. Francis presided over the function and K.P. Sathian, Librarian, KAU delivered Key Note address. C. Abdul Razak, Former Librarian, KAU, V.C. John, Librarian, Thejus Enginnering College, Vellarakkad, P.M. Biju, Librarian, Quilandy Centre of Sanskrit University spoke on the occasion. V.S. Swapna, KAU delivered welcome address and Humayoon Kabir, KLA Regional Secretary and Librarian, Govt. Medical College, Thrissur proposed vote of thanks.

Dr. P. Vijayakumaran Nair, Former Scientist, KFRI, Peechi, Vinitha Davies, Librarian, St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth and N. Sarojam, Scientist & Chief Librarian, KFRI were presented theme papers, “Digital Library: A critical survey of packages available“, “WiFi Networks in Libraries” and “How to make available the contents of the journals subscribed in the library for searching in online” respectively.

K.N. Vijayalekshmi, Librarian, Govt. Nursing College, P.D. Anto, Librarian, Prajothi Nikethan College, Pudukkad, E.K. Mohanlal, Veterinary University, V.G. Siju, Cochin University, K.R. Nagarajan, Librarian, Govt. Engineering College, Thrissur, M.C. Sathi, Librarian, Veterinary College, Mannuthy, K.A. Fincy, Librarian, Valappad Grama Panchayath and V.S. Sreedevi, Librarian, Holy Grace Academy, Mala led the discussions.
