National Workshop on e-Granthalaya

Kerala Library Association in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre, New Delhi, organised a 3 Day national Workshop on e-Granthalaya during 11-13 September at the LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapram.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr M.Wilscy, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. Dr A Gopikuttan, President, Kerala Library Association delivered the Presidential address while Shri Ram Kumar Matoria, Technical Director, NIC highlighted various issues related to Automation and Networking of libraries in India. Shri M. Chandrakumaran Nair, Vice President, KLA welcomed the gathering and Shri S.L.Faisal, General Secretary, KLA proposed vote of thanks.

The workshop was attended by a total of fourty working Library Professionals.

At the valedictory function on 13 Sept. 2012, Dr K.P.Vijaya Kumar, Associate Professor & Hon. Director
Centre for Information Literacy Studies & Head, Dept. of Library & Information ScienceHOD, DLIS, Univ. of Kerala distributed the certificates.
